This tunnel is also known as Rohtang Tunnel or Atal Tunnel Rohtang. Atal Tunnel Tunnel is named after former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This challenging tunnel is part of the 479 km long Leh-Manali highway. Atal Tunnel reduces travel time and distance between Manali and Leh by 46 km which can saves up to 4-5 hours. Atal Tunnel is now one of the most visited place near Manali.
